Back at work and committing to a detox diet after four days of delectable delights in Derbeyshire.
What a wonderful surprise my dear friend Mario called and said he had just arrived in London and would i like to meet him at Claridges for Tea. I decided i would start the diet tomorrow.
Earl Grey Tea and Scones, Clotted Cream and Jam. I also am well aware it is the second one in a week but i feel it is important for you to see different variations of the Great English Cream Tea.

At a dinner at the Max Wigram Gallery we were lucky enough to be served dishes by Pieter Maritz the chef and owner of the bespoke caterers Pestle and Mortar. I would not be exaggerating if i was to say that this was the tastiest freshest most sumptuous food i have eaten out in a long time. Thank you Max and Pieter.

Craving a little bit of sashimi the lovely Julie suggested Chisou on Princes street. On arrival we contemplated the crisp fried prawns on spinach leaves with yuzu dressing or the soft shell maki rolls but after the suggestion by the sushi chef of the set lunches we changed our minds and went for the easy option and at approx £20 ahead thought that was a much more sensible idea.My Sashimi set lunch.

My new discovery this week....not St john the restaurant but how to get a table and not have to book weeks before...answer just turn up. I forgot that saying "Bums on Seats" it really is the truth. The food was faultless as always. Here are 5 delectable dishes well chosen as we sat next the kitchen so had the added benefit of seeing everything as it came out. Only problem was the whole suckling pig staring at me throughout the meal. Mussels mediterranean style.

Fouberts ice cream Parlour see previous for details.

Fouberts of Chiswick have been around for 50 years. I took my 8 year old friend there today he loved it and opted for the mint chocolate chip. The ice cream is hand made and family run. There is always a line and the parking is a nightmare but apart from that well worth the visit. Just one more thing was a little bit scared of the bright blue option?

What is it about this shop?? Apart from the stupendous packaging, visually outstanding cakes and pastries the decor makes me feel like i am in a stage production of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. It is pure fantasy as nothing can be that perfect....or can it???

Here we have a bowl of sumptuous chorizo cabbage and potato soup eaten at approximately 11pm at Moro London.
I often make this delectable dish so here is my version.
Slice the chorizo, 1 onion and 2 cloves of garlic soften in some olive oil.
Peel and cube 3 large potatoes. Add the potatoes and vegetable stock. Once the potatoes are cooked lightly smash and add green spring cabbage finely sliced. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of smoked paprika.
