Eggs With Joey.

Poached Eggs a side of bacon and toast.
Nothing really special about this dish but the eggs were perfect and the picture is great too.
After watching Raymond Blanc cook poached eggs last night i realised after eating these why not just used an old fashioned poaching pan...much easier.
Patisserie Valerie.

Moules Frites.

I was in Stockholm last week and got taken to this tiny French Restaurant. The city was covered in Snow it was minus 10 but after a brisk walk finding this intimate tiny restaurant was a real treat. A small French menu but they stuck to what they knew and they knew the dishes well.
Thank you Samuel for my treat.

A Classic.

Champagne Cocktail with Orchid.
The Hemingway Ritz Paris.

Please keep this a secret.

The Hemingway Bar in the Ritz Paris is magnificent. You really need to go to experience for yourself why this is an institution. The decor is wonderful, wood panelling and black and white photographs of Mr Hemingway with a typewriter in the corner just in case you want to leave a note for a friend. The Cocktails are as magnificent as the bar.

Somewhere in Neuilly Sur Seine

I was desperate to eat and did a pit sandwich spot. Why can a sandwich mixte just gruyere and ham with a bit of squeezy mustard taste so good?

Whisk all ingredients together until a gluey consistency. Leave for 5 minutes.Heat a frying pan and brush with olive oil. Spoon some mixture onto the pan about the size of a small saucer. Once the pancake starts bubbling turn and cook the other side until it feels spongy.

A Great Discovery

At last a new place for take away lunch and its good. The ingredients taste fresh and clean and you actually feel like you have eaten some goodness. There were even whole almonds in the soup.
Seaweed Rolls with chicken red cabbage and spinach and spicy miso soup with mushrooms.
Pod Good Food.

Heaven.

Green Beans/Squash/Green Salad/Chicken Tagine with olives/baba ganoush/Bread.
Riad El Fenn.

Speechless in Marrakech

This is the courtyard of the Riad El Fenn in Marrakech. Speechless because of the beauty of this riad and the exquisite decor and attention to detail. The mixed plate lunches on the roof terrace overlooking the city could be in my top 5 lunch moment served with a freezing glass of rose i was truly in heaven.

Otto Lenghi Madness

I decided to take Bernice to Otto Lenghi for lunch but was not ready for a communal table of complete food addicts photographing and writing notes on their plates of salads. Yottam Ottolenghi is truly a star and this small eatery is obviously now in most good travel guides. I only have space for one salad description so here goes...roasted aubergine with turmeric yoghurt.
