I really do not think I have eaten truly authentic mexican Food until I ate at Loteria. I stood at the bar for 30 minutes watching every plate come out before i made a decision. It was overwhelming.
This stall started in the Farmers Market and now they have another restaurant in town.

Pappy and Harriets.
This is Pappy and Harriets in Pioneer Town.A historic watering hole, gig venue and restaurant.
I could have stayed all day just watching the long tables of people swigging jugs of beer and eating hot dogs.

Oatmeal in the Desert.
I have just been to a hotel/motel on the outskirts of Joshua Tree National Park called 29 Palms Inn in California. It was truly one of the most fantastic places I have ever been too. Adobe rooms in the middle of the desert with a surrounding landscape that is hard to take in as it is so different to what we are used to. If pushed I would say comparable to the moon. This Oatmeal was part of the inclusive breakfast. Most of the ingredients served were from their extensive garden. Not easy to cultivate in such harsh conditions. Thank you 29 Palms for an experience of a life time.

Grapefruit Brulee.
I loved the presentation of this and how it took me back to the 80's.

Hot Corn.
I actually ate this dish in Cafe Havana in New York and tried to replicate it. It worked like a treat.
Boil Some corn on the cobs. Sprinkle with Cayenne Pepper or Chili Powder. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve with fresh lime.
An Avocado Shake Down.
This was delicious why had i never thought of it before? Avocado,coconut and banana smoothie.

The Sauce.
A Blue Cheese and Cream sauce for the Filet Mignon. We all ate in silence.I wonder why...we were speechless.
After removing the beef James added a touch of red wine, pouring cream, blue cheese and lots of black pepper.

James Kelly at Soma is worth going to Costa Rica from anywhere for. His cooking is out of this world.
His Passion for food is a joy to witness and how gifted am i to be his friend and eat in his kitchen at home which is a rarity as he is always cooking for clients. This beautiful piece of filet mignon is being seared in a pan the sauce will follow.

A mediterranean menu which changes everyday in a setting that i will not even begin to describe.

Carolines Magnificent Pasta Salad.
Pasta Salad is something i would never choose it reminds me of a bad cold buffet but this one has changed my mind. Whole Wheat Penne, Feta Cheese, Tomatoes, Rocket, A Huge amount of Fresh Basil. Dressing of olive oil, red wine vinegar and fresh crushed garlic. Please try it at home.
When In Costa Rica.
Please try and visit Olam. It is a healthy restaurant open within Nautilus Hotel. They bake and make everything in front of you and its a great find. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Here we have Tabouleh with a yoghurt dressing as chosen by my beautiful friend Caroline.

Tuna Tartare.
After an hour and a half in the queue we sat down to an array of outstanding tapas dishes. Once you were sitting the standing seemed like a distant memory.
