Miniature Chocolate Brownies with Sultanas. I should metion that next to Cocomayas Artisan Bakery is a truly beautiful jewel of a chocolate shop filled with treasures edible and inedible.
Cocomaya,12 Connaught Street,London W2 2AF.

The problem with Cocomaya is that it is on my route into town so it takes an awful lot of willpower to drive past without stopping.
Here is Saturdays picnic en route to the fantastic John Stezaker exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery. Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese sandwiches in their speciality bread. I was very excited by the black seeded cress.

Mint Tea and a selection of cakes at La Mosquee.
See details on post below.

A detail of the surroundings at La Mosquee.
See post below for details.

Its a wonderful thing when someone shows you so many new things in a city that you have frequented over so many years and thought you knew everything. On Saturday i was introduced to La Mosquee a piece of Marrakesh in the 5th arrondissement. A restaurant, tea house, hamman bath.
We sat and drank sweet mint tea whilst tiny sparrows flew above us the incredible thing about that was we were inside sheltering from the rain.

I am never one to really fall into the Valentine trap but on seeing this sumptuous array of biscuits at the Rose Bakery how can you resist. Happy Happy Valentines to every one of my followers and fellow bloggers.
